The Story
We need your help! DEADFACE, a notorious hacktivist group, wreaks havoc every year on unsuspecting companies and individuals. This year, they have targeted several organizations including De Monne Financial, Eastern State University, Lytton Laboratories, and more! We need you to join forces with Turbo Tactical - a grey hat organization that seeks to put an end to DEADFACE and their attacks.
DEADFACE is a hacker group comprised of individuals with varying skillsets. In the past, their targets have included companies in the financial sector as well as universities. They've gotten bolder over the years and are now also targeting government research facilities. They have members from all around the globe and even inside the very organizations they target.
Turbo Tactical is a group of grey hat hackers who formed to put an end to DEADFACE and their attacks. Several of DEADFACE's victims have reached out to Turbo Tactical to see if they can help figure out what DEADFACE is up to and how they carried out their attacks.
De Monne Financial is frequently attacked by DEADFACE due to its large and reputable corporate status. It is suspected that DEADFACE has an insider threat operating within the company. DEADFACE feels De Monne is predatory to their customers, which is why they rigorously attack De Monne Financial.
Eastern State University prides itself as one of the most prestigious universities in the country. You might dig yourself into a pit of debt from which you will never escape, but it'll all be worth it for that piece of paper you get for graduating! ESU is another target of DEADFACE. They recently leaked a database filled with student and faculty private information! ESU wants you to help them scope the level of damage and figure out where they went wrong.
There's a lot of mystery surrounding Lytton Labs. The only publicly available information on this organization is that they are contracted by the U.S. government and they run experiments. What kind? No one is really sure. Maybe that's why DEADFACE is so keen on targeting their users and systems. What mysteries might they reveal?
DEADFACE Members
d34th
d34th has been the leader of DEADFACE for a number of years. Not much is known about him as he is very cautious of the information he puts online. He goes to great lengths to conceal his identity and takes an active role in planning out DEADFACE's various campaigns.
mort1cia
mort1cia is DEADFACE's second-in-command. She and d34th have been steering DEADFACE campaigns for years. She keeps a tight operation and makes sure that new recruits fit in with DEADFACE.
spookyboi
spookyboi is third-in-command and DEADFACE's infrastructure expert. He manages servers, VMs, and applications created by DEADFACE. He is also in charge of vetting and on-boarding new recruits.
lilith
lilith has been with DEADFACE for a couple years and tends to target universities. She is an amateur in many areas, but still very capable.
lamia415
lamia415 is a more junior member of DEADFACE, although she is fully vetted and engaged in DEADFACE campaigns last year. She is thought to be an insider threat, although not enough information has been gathered to make a solid determination.
luciafer
luciafer has been with DEADFACE for a couple years. It is unsure what company she works for, but we suspect it has something to do with finance. She has been an integral part of the recent De Monne Financial hack and several sensitive documents were compromised by her.
daem0n
It is believed that daem0n is Ali Tevlin, an employee of F. Kreuger Financial Group. We can't confirm, which is why he has not had charges pressed against him. He is one of the older DEADFACE members. What he lacks in skill he makes up for in experience.
mirveal
mirveal is one of DEADFACE's more active actors and is quickly rising through the ranks. He acts as a guide and mentor to the new recruits and is quick to pick up on new techniques.
sunstalker
This is sunstalker's second year with DEADFACE. She remains an active actor, although she is less skilled and experienced than her cohorts. She works in emerging technologies. Although we're not certain, we believe she works for Techno Global Research Industries.
gh0st404
gh0st404 is a new member of DEADFACE. He feels he has a lot to prove to the rest of the team to stand out as a formidable member of DEADFACE.
deephax
deephax is relatively inexperienced. His skills need refining, but he always finds targets of opportunity for DEADFACE to take on. It is believed that deephax is a student based on his interest in and knowledge of ESU.
TheZeal0t
TheZeal0t is one of the older members of DEADFACE, but is also one of the most skilled. Most of his attacks target Lytton Labs where has a back-and-forth with his nemesis, DarkAngel.
